La’Kicia “Kish” Fuller, co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of EYE Partners, LLC, has had a passion for youth, education and mentoring for many years. After receiving her B.A. with a major in Psychology and a minor in Dance from Wake Forest University, she went on to pursue her Masters in Education with a concentration in Counselor Education from the same institution. Her experience as a School Counselor in Guilford County Schools in North Carolina, and as an educator in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools further heightened her innate desire to nurture the education and development of youth.
Kish has worked at various levels of education and formed components of the EYE Program based on her acquired knowledge from these experiences. After serving in Guilford County Schools, she had the privilege of organizing the highly successful Cura Personalis Mentoring Program at Fairfield University while serving as Assistant Director of Multicultural Affairs. She was also instrumental in aiding in the transition of the Office of Multicultural Affairs to the Center for Multicultural Affairs at Elon University.
These timely experiences fueled her desire to work with youth in a different capacity—one that combined her aforementioned passions—youth, education and mentoring. Empowering Youth through Education (EYE) was birthed from that vision and designed to give its students and parents what she desires for her own children as a parent—quality education, guidance, encouragement and character development. She is committed to the vision of EYE Partners, LLC, “ . . . to inspire and cultivate a belief in success for young people,” and she is devoted to creating opportunities for youth to be empowered. She truly believes that empowerment begins with a passion for learning and has created the EYE Program to ignite that passion. She looks forward to the lights that will shine and the visions that will come to fruition as EYE grows! Dewey Burke Co-Founder & Chief Financial Officer
Dewey Burke, co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer of EYE Partners, LLC has always been an entrepreneur at heart. By the age of 25, Dewey has already initiated three successful businesses on his own. An honor student and standout athlete from Berwyn, Pennsylvania (just outside Philadelphia), Burke attended college at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. As a member of the North Carolina Men’s Basketball Team, he was a part of an ACC Regular Season and Tournament Championship Team. At UNC, Burke was twice named the Tar Heels Most Inspirational Player for his tireless dedication on the court and exemplary work off the court in the community. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Management and a second major in Economics.
His EYE responsibilities as CFO include overseeing all business aspects of the company, including Advertising, Marketing, Finance, Web Design, and Business Development.
Having always spent considerable time volunteering and assisting challenged and less-fortunate children, Dewey has now turned his focus to bettering the education of these students through the EYE Partners Initiative. A natural leader, Burke desires to do just what the company promotes: “Ignite a Passion for Learning.” He strongly believes that while society may have labeled these children as "underprivileged," they still maintain the greatest privilege of all: their capacity to learn, which is limitless when exposed. Dewey is confident that students who participate in this program will be aware of their potential as that passion for learning is ignited!
